A unique journey to the Llorens Artigas Foundation
We propose a trip of invaluable value: the Llorens Artigas Foundation. It’s named after one of the most international artists of the Spanish art scene, Josep Llorens Artigas, known for his work as a ceramist with Joan Miró. There you will appreciate the works that bear the indisputable seal of Joan Miro- Llorens Artigas.
Llorens Artigas son, Joan Gardy, receives us at the Foundation. Joan Gardi is another international figure who collaborated with Braque, Chagall and Giacometti, as well as in all the great murals of Joan Miró (the one at Harvard University, the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, the Barcelona Airport and finally the Kunsthaus of Zurich). A whole personality that evokes creative knowledge with of the historical Avant-Garde.
Finally, we will visit the studio of the third generation of Llorens Artigas, Isao, who is actually doing art projects for the Swiss cosmetics Valmont Barcelona. His work between figuration and abstraction shows us his calligraphic gifts learned in Japan. Minimalist shapes, in flat colors, evoke the beauty of the simplest in an authentic and well-defined style.
